Master of Engineering Administration
Students from Dr. Al Wicks' Mechatronics lab have developed an electrical system that will blow air into the blades of the Rolls Royce Trent 1000 Engine in Goodwin Hall and make it turn. They had the engine moving for a reception honoring outgoing dean Richard Benson but the ultimate goal is to have it run during class changes each day and other important times and even to control it remotely via the internet. Students are Thomas Coleman (in green), Clinton Burns (in navy) and Matthew Meeder (in plaid).
